Hi Malia, We do not currently maintain any collateral for using a MSP430 to emulate a GPIO expander like the PCA9555 , however I believe that such functionality would be very easy to implement. You would configure UCB0 as an I2C slave (with a set or selectable slave address) and control ports 1 and 2 based on the 3-byte packet sent by the master (I2C address, P1 data, and P2 data). I2C slave example code for receiving multiple bytes is already provided by TI for msp430g2xx3 devices, please refer specifically to msp430g2xx3_uscib0_i2c_09.c.
