I am having a similar problem, only with IAR Embedded Workbench IDE version 5.20. Everything seems detected, with version 3 of msp430.dll and the ports that installed properly on the device manager. I've never been able to debug my MSP430F5437A device after several days of attempts, and nearly bricking the debugger.
