Hi Pascal, Calibration values for 1, 8, 12, and 16 MHz are already stored in Information Memory Segment A starting at address 0x10F6, these were programmed during production and are already available on your MSP430F247 device. A msp430x24x_clks example is provided by TI to show how these values can be used in your code. Otherwise you will require a reliable external reference clock to produce your own calibration values.
