What do you mean when you say that the datapipe interface ends up using a driver that makes it avaliable to Android programs? Do you have any more information on what driver that is? I am seeing the same slow detection of the HID datapipe device on a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone, a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone and a Samsung Tab 4.
