Hi Clemens, Yes, capacitance too small is how I guess it. I believe the settings for XCAP are correct since I have JTAG and used debugger to halt system and review XCAP. I can replace the crystal with an identical part but tuned for 7 pF rather than 12.5. I'll do this and see if I can supply enough capacitance via XCAP to slow down the 60 ppm fast operation to the correct frequency. PCB layout is not as described in the document you reference. It is just two very short lines to the SMD crystal. No fancy ground guarding. Any further suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks! Mike
