Hi Hayeon, To power the device with an external supply, remove jumper J6. The MSP432P401R has an operating range of 1.62V to 3.7V. You do not necessarily have to power the device externally in order to measure consumption of the device. Now, to measure current draw of the device, please refer to section 2.5 in this document . All you need to do is attach an ammeter across the 3V3 jumper in the isolation block. I'm not sure I fully understand your question on JTAG. If using the EVM, I'd suggest using the internal debugger; however, it can be done externally as well. Thanks, Mitchell
