Hello Mark, 1. RO can be better-optimized for greater sensitivity. 2. RC implements the lowest power solution. 3. The RC solution can be realized on any MSP430 device, but the fast RO (fRO) method cannot be done on G2xx2 devices. The external resistor configuration changes between the two methods. 4. Either method enters LPM0 to save power. 5. The power Vref ladder is necessary for ULP with the RO system. 6. You can use fRO on G2xx3 & G2xx5 value-line devices. 7.
