Thank you for the extensive reply. I don't want to work you so hard. The BSL replicator code looks pretty usable, I did a bunch of Google searches but failed to find it or I didn't look in the deprecated folder. This is what I was looking for. I found similar for other processors. I thought about trying to lock the IVT through coding work but it seemed pretty complicated and prone to error over time. We are using IAR. The nuke the IVT and jump to BSL seems to solve the problem. I wouldn't worry about trying to make IAR lock in the IVT as we have a work around. On several processors I have used the hardware designer (or myself) failed to lookup up the required bootloader pinouts and found out later they needed changed. I always wished they were more configurable but this one is my fault, over and over, ha ha. I did find the BSLScripter code but quickly found it was using a different protocol version and my host target code is in C# so I aborted. I haven't tried to the newest tools, but will give them a look the next project. Thank for pointing them out.
