(1) Have you been able to download any code? And if so do you think it is possible that the code may be interfering with the IDE trying to interrogate the part before programming? - Clock frequency verses VCORE and flash wait states (2) Can you successfully run a code example which is close to your system settings (see dev.ti.com/.../ This is what I find so odd, I can run the OutOfBox and Blink code, but if I tweak the clock settings on the example it works fine on the Black, but not the Red. This is both before and after I run the code that fails. And the failure is the decompression failure mentioned above. (3) Perform a factory reset. e2e.ti.com/.../508198 I'd not tried this because it runs the stock demo code fine, but I'll give it whack. I'm mystified. I also need to ID an example application that uses the 48MHz crystal. It may be the Red board is faulty and the decompress failure is a timeout symptom. I haven't had a chance to comb through the examples and fine an appropriate app. With regard to your other questions: You will find the reset handler mapped to the reset vector and defined in the startup_ msp432p401r _ccs.c as well as the function call SystemInit(). SystemInit() is found in the system_ msp432p401r .c file. D'oh. Of course it is. Sheesh. >red faced<
