Q1 The given VID ranges in Table 5-21 are applicable if the VREF is sourced internally, as mentioned in Footnote 2. Since the customer is using an external reference, the analog input range should not exceed 80% of VFSR +/- to achieve the performance for each gain setting. Like you pointed out, the recommended range for VID is equal to: VID = 0.8*VFSR- to 0.8*VFSR+. Keep in mind that the absolute minimum differential voltage is VFSR- and absolute maximum differential voltage is VFSR+. Q2 For the analog input voltage range (FSR +/-) versus output data format, please refer to Table 13-1 and Figure 13-7 in the User's Guide. Q3 According to Table 5-21, VID = VIA+ - VIA-.
