That will connect a serial loopback on the XDS110 application UART port and then could see if characters get lost during a loop back test. I also remember there was a previous thread MSP432Launchpad Uart Delay about an issue found inside the XDS110 application UART. Worth checking if you have the updated TI Emulators 6.0.14.0 mentioned at the end of that thread. Edit : Thanks for the mention of slsnif , I was looking for something like that.
