Hello all, I am using the MSP-FET (connected to Win8 via USB) with an MSP-FET-432ADPTR in order to debug my code and have a virtual UART port. While the UART pins are NOT plugged in I can observe the correct UART behavior via oscilloscope; however, if I plug in the UART Tx-to-Rx (connecting my MSP to the FET adapter) my MSP-FET won't let me step through code AND the mode/power LEDs begin blinking in a slow, alternating fashion. If I pull the UART pin out it goes right back to normal operation. Furthermore, I get no UART output on my virtual COM port. Is there some setup or options required to use the backchannel UART and spy-bi-wire at the same time? I also have an MSP430 Launchpad and was unable to get UART pass-through for that either (debugging with FET, did not get any outputs on my com port) I'm happy to provide more information if it would be helpful to solve this issue. Thanks for your time!
