TI announces new IC's as "industries first" pretty much every month, they are very innovative company. Microchip corp is boring, just gobbling up smaller companies that actually was a little innovative. Learning a new mcu have its learning curves, but don't expect a manufacturing corporation to reach out to you because you "may" have a product that will use a couple of 1000's of their IC's in 6 month. You best choice is to subcontract out the work if it's to advanced above Arduino standards.
