Hi Khar, This seems to be a bug (discussed here ). The workaround seems to adding the '.py' extension to the script paths in 'setup.py'. I've attached a patch below for your reference (found here ). I'm wondering if this occurs because you're using Windows instead of Linux, since Linux executables typically don't have extensions. (Please visit the site to view this file) If this workaround doesn't work, perhaps you can try installing as an administrator using "sudo" before the commands. If this doesn't work, you could try installing a Linux virtual machine on your Windows PC or using a Linux computer to see if you can successfully install it. Keep in mind that " python-msp430-tools " is not an official TI tool. For your reference, we do offer an open source MSPBSL library (found here ) and tool (found here ) for Windows.
